Solar Lighting Poles & Footings
Poles
Orca has developed a range of solar poles to provide solar area & street lighting for almost any purpose. Whether it be for upmarket public open spaces, temporary & relocatable lighting for construction, cost effective poles for mining and remote industry or swing poles for easy access to solar panel and luminaire.
Poles can also be custom designed for your particular need.
Footings
Concrete cage: (approx 0.8 cubic meters of concrete) with steel cage/ rag bolt section.
Screw pile: Used in soil, clay and sand conditions, these adapt to most poles and are used for permanent and relocatable. The screw pile provides foundations for laterally loaded stand-alone pole lighting and is installed quickly and effectively by a hydraulicrotary drive, positioned for pole attachment within and to the desired depth depending on load and soil conditions. They are generally between 1000mm and 1400mm long.(see screw installation)
Portable concrete block: Very versatile as relocatable and permanent footing. Designed to be moved by a fork lift or hiab, it is well suited for construction sites, road works and site security/ safety lighting. Available in one to three tonnes depending on wind loadings. Engineered and certified for the pick up points and the specific wind loadings (see permanent or temporary block).
